Differences between Missing in Sydney AND Alien Alert in Seattle Stories

In this week’s blog I will compare and contrast Missing in Sydney and Alien Alert in Seattle. These stories have differences and similarities

Differences

These stories have a lot of differences like the events, setting, and characters. In Missing in Sydney, Lisa is kidnapped by somebody. Her friends, Claire and Amy want to find Lisa and call the police. However in Alien Alert in Seattle aliens want to teach us and I think Aliens want to learn if we are fighting with aliens. 'Suddenly the newsreader said, Alien Alert! Early this morning there was a report of an unidentified flying object near the Cascade Mountains east of Seattle. Two tourists saw a UFO in the sky above them. They said it was gray and round' (p. 10). Another difference is Alien Alert in Seattle is not real but Missing in Sydney is very close the real.

Similarities

In these two stories there are more differences than similarities. I think one of the similarities is character’s ages. In both of the stories’ characters are teenager and they are student. ‘My name’s Karen Nielsen and I’m fifteen years old’ (p. 10). Another similarity between Missing in Sydney to Alien Alert in Seattle. In Missing in Sydney Claire and Amy want to find who kidnapped her. In Alien Alert in Seattle, Karen and her friends want to solve the mystery of alien. ‘My story beings in August a month before school started. My parents and I were having breakfast in the kitchen and we were watching the local news on the television.’ (p. 10).

Week 3: Second Post

Alien Alert in Seattle

Everyone at school had lunch time in the cafeteria. Karen doing her lunch with Barbara and Walter Andrews and Karen said to her friends ‘eyes were not green anymore. They were a different color today! I suddenly had an idea. ’ (p. 28).  Their friends were surprised when they were listening to Karen. And Karen looked at the Mr. Wilkinson’s eyes one more time and they could not believe it. 

 Mr. Wilkinson’s voice is like a robot and Karen and Friends was surprised because Mr. Wilkinson did not usually ask personal questions. First He asked to Walter’s hobbies. And Mr. Wilkinson said ‘Good! You have an interesting hobby. Thank you, Walter said Mr. Wilkinson. He then asked other students about their life and hobbies.’ (p. 28). Then he drank some interesting and color thing. They are surprised because there were black pills on the table and he put two of them into the glass and green juice started to make bubbles. Then suddenly it changed color and it became red. It was very interesting for the world. Karen assumes this is new diet but he was thin. Karen, Barbara and Walter started to suspect about Mr. Wilkinson. Karen, Barbara and Walter starting to following him. I think it will be dangerous. So we will my next blog.

I chose this video because I think Aliens are coming to the earth video is very similar with the Alien Alert in Seattle. This video tells us the same story which we read. They saw very strange unfamilier and  very bright things in the sky. People could not defined. According to this video these bright thing a clue of alien. And video said that aliens are in the universe. I believe that this video is real because humankind can not be alone in this very big universe. 'The universe is only for humankind' idea is so nonsense for me.

Firstly Karen and her family were watching the television and they saw a news on the television the speaker said that aliens are coming to the Seattle but they did not believe it. And later Karen went to school and met with her friends.When They were in classroom they heard a some voices from the outside. They were looking at the outside, no body looked at sun but the teacher could look at the sun it was interesting. This came interesting to the Karen and Barbara .Karen and Barbara talked eachother and they were surprised. Karen thought the maybe her teacher could be an alien and Karen said that to Barbara. Barbara was be surprised like Karen. They thought their teacher maybe were a martian who came to the earth with the an UFO. As you know Ufo is a car and their car can be fly in the space. Ufo's technology is very improved and humankind could not find any car like alien's Ufo.
